Randal Hamburg

“I joined the board because grief is something we all experience, and adults generally have more tools to process it than children do. As a child of divorce, I remember feeling different growing up, and later I lost a niece and saw the impact that loss had on her younger sister. That’s what really hits home for me, and why I feel strongly about the Rainbows' mission and the importance of helping children navigate grief and loss.”

By day, Randal Hamburg serves as Director of Finance for a New York-based advertising agency and has worked in senior finance leadership roles for nearly 40 years. His experience spans nonprofit organizations, advertising, startups, and Fortune 100 companies, including roles as CFO and Finance Director. Throughout his career, he has partnered closely with CEOs and other leaders on financial strategy, planning, operations, and organizational growth.

Randal brings a collaborative leadership style and a passion for helping organizations build strong financial foundations that support long-term sustainability and impact.

When Randal is not working or attending board meetings, you can usually find him hanging at the dog park with his Bichon, Joey Ramone, listening to live music, working out, or binging on BritBox.
