Consultant
Jud Ely, Treasurer
"I joined the board because I was a child of divorce, had no support mechanisms, and wanted to help and serve. I’m excited to try and raise awareness of Rainbows and its important mission and to help contribute to the financial well being of the organization by fundraising and by helping to maintain a high level of financial stewardship."
By day, Jud works in Fractional CFO roles as a financial consultant for CFO Accounting Solutions, a firm that focuses on helping small to midsize businesses with accounting and financial matters on an ongoing and project basis. He has worked in senior Accounting and Finance leadership roles for over 35 years and has previously worked for large companies such as BP (was ARCO), GE, Xerox, CNA, and AmerisourceBergen, and several smaller companies in a variety of industries and business types.
Jud Ely brings a passion for volunteer service and financial discipline to the board or council, and is especially passionate about the Rainbows mission because it serves and helps improve the mental wellbeing of children.
When Jud is not working or attending board meetings, you can find him playing pickleball or golf, hiking or traveling.
Some fun facts about Jud is that he once lived in New Mexico in John Chisum's house (of Chisum Trail fame and the boss of Billy the Kid) and spent a summer as a cowboy sheep herder.
