The Chicago School|Doctoral Student (PsyD)
Maggie Gould
“I enjoy working at Rainbows because I feel as though I have a duty to advocate for the grieving children who are going through what I grew up in and I am excited to contribute my time, energy, and child psychology knowledge to support this community!”
Maggie is a Doctoral candidate at The Chicago School working to get her degree in psychology. She is on her fourth year out of five and has gained years of experience working with children from a diverse range of backgrounds and challenges. Her current area of research is in the neuropsychological effects of grief and how it changes people’s lives and brains!
Maggie brings experience, empathy, and motivated energy to the associate council, and is especially passionate about the Rainbows mission because of her own experience of loss at the age 14 after her mothers 10-year battle with Breast Cancer. She hopes to bridge working with Rainbows and her career path by doing all things possible to advocate for the resources that grieving children need.
When Maggie is not working, you can find her walking the lake shore path, spending time with her friends, trying to pet strangers dogs, or reading a new book!
Fun fact : Maggie analyzes Taylor Swift Easter eggs with the obsessive detail of a psychological case study.
