Colleen Havey joined Rainbows as the Event Coordinator in 2023. She works under the Executive Director to help create unique events to support Rainbows For All Children’s fundraising efforts, as well as raise awareness for Rainbows’ programs.

Colleen has always been passionate about event planning. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Hospitality Management focused on event planning. After years of corporate event planning, she took a break to be a stay-at-home mom. Colleen lost her daughter, Eloise, to a rare genetic disease just before her 6th birthday in 2022. When she was ready to re-enter the workforce, Colleen knew she wanted to get away from corporate events and use her skill set to make a difference in the world. When she learned about Rainbows, she instantly felt a connection to the organization’s mission. Colleen knows first hand the importance of supporting those experiencing grief; especially children.

When she’s not on the hunt for the coolest new venue or vendor, Colleen enjoys traveling with her husband, curling up with a good book, or crafting.
